Syngamosis

Definition:

Syngamosis is a quite rare infectious disease caused by nematodes of the genus Mammomonogamus. Mammomonogamus laryngeus is the most common agent of human syngamosis. It was first demonstrated in 1899. Transmission is by ingestion of infective larvae.
