Definition:
V79 is a Chinese hamster Fibroblast of lung spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Lung. V79 is sensitive to genotoxic stress, including X-ray, ultraviolet, and oxidative damage. V79 is used to investigate cellular phenotype, signal transduction, and pharmacological response in a controlled cellular system.
