Definition:
Vero 76 is an African green monkey Epithelial cell of kidney spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Kidney, epithelium. Its spontaneous immortalization permits extended propagation while retaining lineage-associated properties. Vero 76 is used to investigate cellular phenotype, signal transduction, and pharmacological response in a controlled cellular system.
