Description

Bletimalate D is a 2-isobutylmalate found in the tubers of Bletilla striata. Bletimalate D shows no significant anti-pulmonary fibrosis activity and has cytotoxicity[1].

In Vitro

Bletimalate D (Compound 2) (20 μM; 24 h) exhibits cytotoxicity against NIH/3T3 cells, reducing viability to 70.45 ± 6.98%[1].
Bletimalate D does not inhibit total collagen production in TGF-β1-activated NIH/3T3 cells, with an IC50 value >50 μM[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
