Biological Activity: SPDP-Gly-Pro-acid is a linker with SPDP and carboxylic acid moieties. The SPDP is an amine and thiol reactive crosslinker. It is also membrane permeable, allowing it to participate in intracellular crosslinking reactions. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond.
