Biological Activity: (+)-Allohydroxycitric acid calcium hydrate is a weak acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) activator with a Km of 20 mM. (+)-Allohydroxycitric acid calcium hydrate can replace citrate to activate ACC in vitro, but does not produce an in vivo agonistic effect in vivo. (+)-Allohydroxycitric acid calcium hydrate cannot alter the rates of hepatic fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis in rats, and has no lipid-regulating effect. (+)-Allohydroxycitric acid calcium hydrate can be used for metabolism-related research[1][2].
