Biological Activity: MGL-IN-4 (compound 16) is a covalent monoacylglycerol lipase (MGL) inhibitor with an IC50 of 7.8 nM against hMGL. MGL-IN-4 covalently modifies a key cysteine residue of MGL through ring-opening release of an active sulfur atom, locking the lid domain in a closed conformation to allosterically inhibit its activity. MGL-IN-4 can be used in studies of neuroprotection and anti-inflammation[1].
