Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. GH3 is used as an in vitro model of Rat pituitary gland neoplasm to investigate p53 signaling, cell proliferation, cell-cycle control, and receptor signaling and trafficking.
