Wayanin (Quercetin-3-O-β-D-xylofuranoside) is a glycosylated flavonol active metabolite that can be isolated and extracted from Psidium acutangulum. Wayanin exhibits anti-plasmodial activity with an IC50 of 5.5 μM. Wayanin is used in malaria-related research.
