COX-2-IN-70 is an orally active and selective COX-2 inhibitor with an IC50 of 1.86 μM. COX-2-IN-70 reduces the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes by inhibiting the COX-2 isoenzyme. COX-2-IN-70 can be used for inflammation research.

Significantly alleviated inflammation and edema in paw tissues, promoted tissue regeneration and recovery, and reduced neutrophil migration.
Maximally preserved the glandular mucosal and submucosal tissue architecture without causing significant gastrointestinal damage, such as ulceration and epithelial desquamation induced by indomethacin, indicating an excellent gastrointestinal safety profile.
Reduced the levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and PGE2 in paw tissues.
