Cat. No.: HY-132227
Handling Instructions Technical Support

Dichlorobenzamil (3',4'-Dichlorobenzamil; L-594881) hydrochloride is a Na+-Ca2+ Exchanger inhibitor. Dichlorobenzamil (hydrochloride) attenuates the Na+-Ca2+ exchanger-mediated inward current induced by activation of type I metabotropic glutamate receptors in second-order baroreceptor neurons of the rat nucleus tractus solitarius.

Description

Dichlorobenzamil (3',4'-Dichlorobenzamil; L-594881) hydrochloride is a Na+-Ca2+ Exchanger inhibitor. Dichlorobenzamil (hydrochloride) attenuates the Na+-Ca2+ exchanger-mediated inward current induced by activation of type I metabotropic glutamate receptors in second-order baroreceptor neurons of the rat nucleus tractus solitarius[1].

In Vitro

Dichlorobenzamil hydrochloride (100 μM; 1 min) significantly attenuates the Group I mGluR agonist-induced inward current in anatomically identified second-order baroreceptor NTS neurons, reducing the current to 55.1 ± 8.6% of control[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
