Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; hemolymphoid system; hindlimb phalanx; liver; and skeletal musculature. Used to study alcohol dependence and diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis. Orthologous to human SLC29A1 (solute carrier family 29 member 1 (Augustine blood group)).
