Globotriaosylsphingosine (lyso-Gb3) inhibits the growth of fibroblasts, as well as their differentiation into myofibroblasts, and collagen expression. Globotriaosylsphingosine can be used for Fabry disease research[1].

In Vitro

Globotriaosylsphingosine (100 nM, 500 nM; 24 h) reduces KCa3.1 mRNA expression levels and Glo1a1 and Glo3a1 protein levels[1].
Globotriaosylsphingosine (50-500 nM, 24 h) dose-dependently inhibits fibroblast growth, differentiation into myofibroblasts, and collagen synthesis[1].
