Biological Activity
The structure of Glucose-PEG-COOH comprises three key parts that work synergistically:
Glucose: Specifically recognizes and binds to glucose transporters (such as GLUT1) highly expressed on the surface of various cells (especially tumor cells), enabling receptor-mediated active targeted delivery.
PEG Chain: Acts as a hydrophilic spacer arm, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system clearance, and prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
Carboxyl Group (-COOH): A reaction interface located at the end of the PEG chain, capable of condensation or esterification reactions with amino and hydroxyl groups.
