POLRMT-IN-3
POLRMT-IN-3 is a photosensitive inhibitor of mitochondrial RNA polymerase (POLRMT). POLRMT-IN-3 is biologically inactive in the dark but rapidly releases the active parent compound LJ03 upon illumination with 405 nm light, enabling spatiotemporally precise inhibition of POLRMT. POLRMT-IN-3 exhibits antitumor activity and can be used in research on tumors such as pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer.

POLRMT-IN-3 (Compound J5) (168 h) exhibits low antiproliferative activity against MIA PaCa-2 and HEK293T cells under dark conditions, with IC50 values of 9.900 μM and 7.358 μM, respectively[1].
POLRMT-IN-3 significantly suppresses the transcription levels of ND1, CytB, and COX1, as well as the protein levels of NDUFB8, UQCRC2, and MTCO1 in MIA PaCa-2 cells after 3 minutes of 405 nm light irradiation[1].
