NPY2R Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

NPY2R, the neuropeptide Y (NPY) and peptide YY (PYY) receptors, exhibit different affinities for pancreatic peptides. Preferences in descending order include PYY > NPY > PYY (3-36) > NPY (2-36) > [Ile-31, Gln-34] PP > [Leu-31, Pro-34] NPY > PP, [ Pro -34] PYY and NPY free acids. NPY2R Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His) is the recombinant human-derived NPY2R protein, expressed by E. coli Cell-free , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Description

NPY2R, the neuropeptide Y (NPY) and peptide YY (PYY) receptors, exhibit different affinities for pancreatic peptides. Preferences in descending order include PYY > NPY > PYY (3-36) > NPY (2-36) > [Ile-31, Gln-34] PP > [Leu-31, Pro-34] NPY > PP, [ Pro -34] PYY and NPY free acids. NPY2R Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His) is the recombinant human-derived NPY2R protein, expressed by E. coli Cell-free , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Background

NPY2R, the receptor for neuropeptide Y (NPY) and peptide YY (PYY), exhibits distinct affinities for various pancreatic polypeptides. The binding preferences of this receptor, in descending order of affinity, are observed as follows: PYY > NPY > PYY (3-36) > NPY (2-36) > [Ile-31, Gln-34] PP > [Leu-31, Pro-34] NPY > PP, [Pro-34] PYY, and NPY free acid. This receptor's nuanced responsiveness to different forms of pancreatic polypeptides underscores its role in selectively recognizing and interacting with these signaling molecules, contributing to the diverse physiological effects mediated by neuropeptide Y and peptide YY.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM Tris-HCl, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.05% Brij-78, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration). Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Shipping

Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
