PDGF-BB Protein, Mouse

PDGF-BB Protein, Mouse is an active PDGF isoform, used in cell culture applications.

Platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is primarily secreted from platelet α-granules and is the most active PDGF isoform in bone and other connective tissue as it can bind to all known PDGF receptors. PDGF-BB plays an important role in bone regeneration by inducing mitogenesis, chemotaxis, extracellular matrix formation, and vascularization^[1].

The ED₅₀ is <2.5 ng/mL as measured by 3T3 cells, corresponding to a specific activity of >4 × 10⁵ units/mg.

  Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of Balb/c 3T3 cells. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 1.035 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 9.66×10⁵ units/mg.
