Prolactin Protein, Human (HEK293, His)

Prolactin Protein acts on the mammary gland, promoting lactation through its interaction with the receptor PRLR. Prolactin Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Prolactin protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Prolactin is a protein that primarily acts on the mammary gland by promoting lactation. It achieves this by interacting with its receptor, PRLR.

Prolactin Protein, Human (10 ng/mL, 1 h-25 days) promotes the proliferation and cytotoxicity of SCID mouse NK cells^[1].

Prolactin Protein, Human (10 μg/mouse/day, ip, once daily or every two days, 5 doses) promotes the reconstitution of NK cells after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation in BALB/c mouse transplantation model, prolongs the survival of CT26 tumor-transplanted mice and reduces the number of lung metastases in mouse tumor models^[1].

Measured in a cell proliferation assay using Nb2-11 rat lymphoma cells. The ED₅₀ this effect is 0.1656-0.4161 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 6.038×10⁶ units/mg.

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH₂O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
