Cinmethylin
Cinmethylin is a herbicide. Cinmethylin inhibits plant fatty acid biosynthesis. Cinmethylin reduces the emergence rate and above-ground biomass of rigid ryegrass. Cinmethylin kills weeds by inhibiting cell division at root meristems. Cinmethylin exhibits activity against paddy field weeds including Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) var. formosensis and Scirpus juncoides var. ohwianus. Cinmethylin is applicable to agricultural herbicide research.

Biologische Aktivität
Cinmethylin (12-600 g ha-1) selectively controls herbicide-susceptible and multiple-resistant rigid ryegrass populations (LD50 values 20-165 g ha-1)[1].
Cinmethylin (375 g ha−1) effectively controls 130 field-collected rigid ryegrass populations, including trifluralin-resistant populations, with a median plant survival rate of 0%[1].
Cinmethylin (188-400 g ha−1) selectively controls rigid ryegrass (S biotype)[1].
Tolerance of wheat to Cinmethylin (12-600 g ha-1; 28 days after treatment) is mediated by cytochrome P450 activity[1].
Cinmethylin (2.4-300 g a.i./hectare; applied once at 7 days after sowing) exhibits potent herbicidal activity against barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) var. formosensis) and bulrush (Scirpus juncoides var. ohwianus); when applied pre-emergence or in the early post-emergence stage, doses ≥75 g a.i./hectare achieve complete control of both weed species; in contrast, all tested doses achieve complete control of ECHCS[2] when applied pre-emergence.
