ARPE-19
Definition:
ARPE-19 is a human Retinal pigment epithelial cell spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Eye, retina, retinal pigment epithelium. Its spontaneous immortalization permits extended propagation while retaining lineage-associated properties. ARPE-19 is used to investigate VEGF signaling and gene-expression regulation in a controlled cellular system.
