Definition:
FaDu is a human Epithelial cell-derived cancer cell line derived from Pharynx, hypopharynx and associated with Hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the hypopharynx. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. FaDu is used as an in vitro model of Hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the hypopharynx to investigate Wnt signaling, β-catenin signaling, apoptosis, cell migration, and cell-cycle control.
