MCF-12A is a human spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Breast, epithelium. Its spontaneous immortalization permits extended propagation while retaining lineage-associated properties. MCF-12A is used to investigate cellular phenotype, signal transduction, and pharmacological response in a controlled cellular system.
