SCC-9
Definition:
SCC-9 is a human cancer cell line derived from Oral cavity, tongue, anterior part and associated with Tongue squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SCC-9 is used as an in vitro model of Tongue squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue to investigate apoptosis, cell migration, cell invasion, cell-cycle control, and viral infection.
