YT is a human Natural killer cell-derived cancer cell line derived from Pericardial effusion and associated with Natural killer cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. YT is immortalized or transformed by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). YT is used as an in vitro model of Natural killer cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
