UB-221
Based on 1 Customer Validation
UB-221 is an anti-IgE monoclonal antibody (human IgE Kd = 5.85×10-11 M). UB-221 blocks the IgE-FcεRI interaction and promotes CD23 binding by binding to free IgE and CD23-bound IgE, inhibits basophil activation and degranulation, stabilizes membrane-bound CD23 on B lymphocytes and downregulates IgE synthesis, and induces apoptosis (Apoptosis) of B cells expressing membrane-bound IgE. UB-221 directs IgE toward non-inflammatory clearance pathways, reduces IgE levels and FcεRI expression, and can be used for research on chronic spontaneous urticaria and food allergy.

In Vitro
UB-221 does not trigger ADCC/CDC in IgE-preloaded CD23-overexpressing SKW6.4 cells and does not induce cytokine release from human PBMCs[1].
UB-221 binds IgE that is bound to CD23, and the preformed UB-221-IgE complex binds CD23 in ELISA, with EC50 values of 39.1 and 41.6 ng/mL, respectively[1].
UB-221 blocks FcεRI-mediated RBL SX-38 degranulation with an IC50 of 0.14 μg/mL and does not activate human basophils[1].
UB-221 (0-75,000 ng/mL; 1 hour at room temperature) neutralizes high IgE in human serum samples, with an EC90 of 1,097 ng/mL in the low IgE group and 27,539 ng/mL in the high IgE group[1].
UB-221 inhibits FcεRI interaction and promotes CD23 binding in in vitro IgE receptor interaction assays[2].
