Biological Activity: Dynemicin A is a potent antitumor antibiotic. Dynemicin A is a DNA synthesis inhibitor with an IC50 of 2.2 ng/mL. Dynemicin A undergoes bioreductive epoxide ring opening and Bergman cyclization to generate a highly reactive benzenoid diradical, which specifically induces double-strand DNA cleavage. Dynemicin A can be used for research on bacterial infections, leukemia, and melanoma[1][2][3][4].
