Biological Activity: Ac-Trp-Glu-His-Asp-AMC (AC-WEHD-AMC) is a fluorescent peptide caspase-1 substrate. Ac-Trp-Glu-His-Asp-AMC is cleaved by caspase-1, enabling the measurement of caspase-1 proteolytic activity. Ac-Trp-Glu-His-Asp-AMC is cleaved by proinflammatory caspases but not by proapoptotic caspases. Ac-Trp-Glu-His-Asp-AMC requires higher enzyme concentrations to detect active caspase-1[1][2][3].
