Biological Activity: Gylongiposide I is a selective inhibitor against the enterovirus EV71 with an EC50 of 1.53 μM. Gylongiposide I exerts antiviral activity by reducing viral protein VP1 expression and viral genomic RNA levels. Gylongiposide I can be used in the development of anti-EV71 drugs related to hand, foot and mouth disease[1][2].
