Biological Activity: Ethybenztropine hydrochloride (Ponalid hydrochloride) is an anticholinergic drug with antiparkinsonian activity. Ethybenztropine hydrochloride may also have dopamine reuptake inhibitory effects. Ethybenztropine hydrochloride is used to improve motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson's disease.
