Biological Activity: Tin(II) palmitate (Hexadecanoic acid, tin(2+) salt) is a long-chain saturated fatty acid commonly found in animals and plants. Tin(II) palmitate can induce the expression of glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) in mouse granular cells. Tin(II) palmitate can be used to establish a model of cellular steatosis.
