Biological Activity: Acid blue 129 is an acidic dye and highly selective antagonist at the P2Y-receptor of the guinea pig taenia coli. Acid blue 129 does not show any effect at the P2X-receptor of the rat vas deferens. Acid blue 129 can be used for the dyeing of cotton, wool, silk, nylon, paper and leather[1][2].
