Biological Activity: Cys-Gly-3M3SH is an odorless thiol precursor dipeptide and the major secreted precursor of the human axillary odorant 3M3SH, which forms thiol body odor after biotransformation by the skin microbiota. Cys-Gly-3M3SH is biotransformed into 3M3SH by certain staphylococci. Cys-Gly-3M3SH is actively taken up by bacteria via a secondary transport system dependent on the proton motive force. Cys-Gly-3M3SH is used in research related to osmidrosis and skin diseases[1][2].
