Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. UMSCC22B is used as an in vitro model of Hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the hypopharynx to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
