Biologische Aktivität
Hancockiamide D (compound 4) undergoes N-trans-cinnamoylation catalyzed by the single-module nonribosomal peptide synthetase Hkm11 in vitro to produce Hancockiamide A; the cytochrome P450 Hkm5 converts a portion of Hancockiamide D into H[1].
Hancockiamide D exhibits potent cytotoxic activity against mouse myeloma NS-1 cells (MIC = 3.1 μg/mL), while showing no activity against neonatal foreskin fibroblasts[1].
