Hancockiamide C
Hancockiamide C is a phenylacetic piperazine natural products found in Aspergillus hancockii. Hancockiamide C is synthesized via the hkm biosynthetic gene cluster, involving NRPS Hkm11 and the acetyltransferase Hkm3. Hancockiamide C inhibits seed germination of Arabidopsis thaliana (MIC = 6.3 μg/mL), but shows no activity against Eragrostis tef seeds.

Activité biologique
Hancockiamide C potently inhibits Arabidopsis thaliana seed germination with an MIC of 6.3 μg/mL but does not affect Eragrostis tef seed germination[1].
Hancockiamide C is biosynthesized via the hkm gene cluster, and heterologous expression of the full hkm gene cluster in A. nidulans results in its production, while the cytochrome P450 enzyme Hkm5 catalyzes the conversion of hancockiamide B to hancockiamide C in A. nidulans[1].
