Cross-linked dextran G 25 is a cross-linked dextran gel chromatography medium that possesses multiple separation activities, including molecular sieve effects, weak anion exchange, and aromatic adsorption. Cross-linked dextran G 25 (Sephadex G 25) achieves component separation of peptide mixtures through the combined action of molecular sieving and aromatic adsorption, such as separating the tryptic digest of oxidized ribonuclease A into three distinct peptide zones based on aromatic adsorption and molecular sieving effects; or separating Tyrocidine A (HY-P11889), B, and C according to tryptophan content[1].
Cross-linked dextran G 25 achieves separation of estrogenic isoflavone components based on differences in aromatic adsorption, such as the separation of conjugated estrogens from urine[1].
Cross-linked dextran G 25 (Sephadex G 25) simultaneously acts as a molecular sieve and an anion exchanger, effectively separating nucleotide sugar derivatives from Micrococcus lysodeikticus into distinct peaks[2].
