DMAPP triammonium  (Synonyms: Dimethylallyl diphosphate triammonium)

Cat. No.: HY-130573A
COA Handling Instructions

DMAPP (Dimethylallyl diphosphate) triammonium is an isoprenoid precursor. DMAPP triammonium, as an isomer of isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP), exists in virtually all life forms.

At equivalent molar concentrations, both the salt and free forms of a compound exhibit comparable biological activity. Nevertheless, the salt form (DMAPP) usually boasts enhanced water solubility and stability.

Description

DMAPP (Dimethylallyl diphosphate) triammonium is an isoprenoid precursor. DMAPP triammonium, as an isomer of isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP), exists in virtually all life forms[1].

In Vitro

DMAPP triammonium is an isoprenoid precursor. DMAPP triammonium is a product of both the mevalonate pathway and the MEP pathway of isoprenoid precursor biosynthesis. DMAPP triammonium is an isomer of isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) and exists in virtually all life forms. The enzyme isopentenyl pyrophosphate isomerase catalyzes isomerization between DMAPP and IPP[1]

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
