Biological Activity
dsNec-1 (200 μM; up to 6 h) potently inhibits lipid peroxidation in preoxidized egg Phosphatidylcholine (Phosphatidylcholines, egg) (HY-125854) liposomes, completely suppressing peroxidation with no induction period[1].
dsNec-1 (8 μM; up to 6 h) acts as a radical-trapping antioxidant in native egg phosphatidylcholine liposomes, with a measured peroxyl radical-trapping rate constant of 5.5 M-1s-1[1].
dsNec-1 (1 h prior to RSL3 (HY-100218A) treatment, total incubation including RSL3 of 12-16 h) potently suppresses RSL3-induced ferroptosis in Pfa1 mouse embryonic fibroblasts with an EC50 of 0.67-1.2 μM[1].
dsNec-1 (5-50 μM; ~12 h) does not inhibit TNF/ZVAD.FMK-induced necroptosis in L929 mouse embryonic fibroblasts at concentrations up to 50 μM[1].
