Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside (Methyl alpha-L-fucopyranoside) is a fucopyranoside derivative with weak phagostimulatory activity against Spodoptera litura larvae. Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside serves as a starting material for the synthesis of isomeric methyl α-L-fucopyranoside sulfates. Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside shows potential for use in pest control-related research.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside (0.125 M; 3 days) combined with sucrose significantly increases the total sugar intake of larvae; water supplementation does not alter the excretion ratio, but increases the total intake[1].
Methyl α-L-fucopyranoside serves as a starting material for the synthesis of isomeric methyl α-L-fucopyranoside sulfates[2].
