Naringenin 4',7-dimethyl ether
Naringenin 4',7-dimethyl ether, Naringenin (HY-N0100) derivative is an anti-seizure agent. Naringenin 4',7-dimethyl ether attenuates pentylenetetrazole-induced seizures in larval zebrafish and reduces seizures in the mouse 6-Hz psychomotor seizure model. Naringenin 4',7-dimethyl ether can be used for the research of epilepsy. Naringenin 4',7-dimethyl ether is an active agent against Leishmania mexicana (17.8 µM) and Trypanosoma brucei (17.5 µM).

Naringenin 4′,7-dimethyl ether (2-25 mg/kg; i.p.; single injection 30 minutes prior to electrical stimulation) protects mice against 6-Hz psychomotor seizures, with complete protection at 6.25 mg/kg and significant reduction in seizure duration[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Result:Reduced PTZ-induced locomotor activity of PTZ control levels at 12.5 μM.
Significantly decreased the percentage of larvae with epileptiform activity at12.5 μM.
Drastically lowered the number and cumulative duration of PTZ-induced epileptiform events at 12.5 μM.
Achieved a mean whole body concentration of 279.4 ng/mg with uptake 340-fold higher than non-methylated naringenin at 12.5 μM.
