Abstract

From the rhizomes and roots of Valeriana jatamansi Jones, two new flavone glycosides, acacetin 7-O-beta-sophoroside (1), and acacetin 7-O-(6"-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-sophoroside (2), have been isolated together with fifteen known compounds. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and chemical means.
