The orientation of the adjuvant activities of Salmonella typhosa lipopolysaccharide and lentinan
- Immunology. 1974 Nov;27(5):895-902.
By using T cell-deprived mice and appropriate controls it has been shown that the Adjuvant activity of LPS on the immune response to different doses of SRBC, tends to be oriented more towards B cells than towards T cells. In contrast, lentinan seems to mediate its Adjuvant activity largely through a stimulatory effect on helper T cells.
