2-Dehydro-3-deoxygluconokinase
2-Dehydro-3-deoxygluconokinase (EC 2.7.1.45) is a phosphotransferase that acts on alcoholic hydroxyl groups as acceptors. This enzyme catalyzes the phosphorylation of 2-dehydro-3-deoxy-D-gluconate (KDG) and is a key enzyme in the bacterial Entner–Doudoroff (ED) pathway.
