Biological Activity
5-Bromo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine (2.0 g, 10.1 mmol; KOH: 1.2 g, 21.4 mmol; I2: 2.8 g, 11.1 mmol; DMF: 25 mL; 25 °C; 4 h) undergoes iodination to form 5-bromo-3-iodo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine. The product is a brown solid with a yield of 82.5%[1].
