In Vitro

The structure of PEG-Acrylamide comprises two key parts that work synergistically:
Acrylamide: Under free radical initiators or UV irradiation, the acrylamide double bonds can rapidly initiate polymerization, forming a stable three-dimensional hydrogel network; it can also react with molecules containing thiol (-SH) groups through click chemistry or Michael addition.
PEG chain: Acting as a hydrophilic spacer, it forms a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system recognition and clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
