Description

Antibacterial agent 319 is an antibacterial and antitumor agent. Antibacterial agent 319 exhibits activity against E. coli and S. aureus. Antibacterial agent 319 also inhibits the growth of melanoma cells. Antibacterial agent 319 can be used in research on tumor bacterial infections such as melanoma[1].

In Vitro

Antibacterial agent 319 (Compound 7b) potently inhibits the growth of B16-F10 mouse melanoma cells with an IC50 of 7.3 μM, and exhibits lower toxicity against normal HEK-293 cells (IC50 = 18.4 μM)[1].
Antibacterial agent 319 (62.5-500 μg/mL; 24 h) inhibits the growth of E. coli and S. aureus, with an MIC of 500 μg/mL[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
