Definition:

SAS is a human cancer cell line derived from Oral cavity, tongue and associated with Tongue squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SAS is used as an in vitro model of Tongue squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue to investigate p53 signaling, NRF2 signaling, apoptosis, cell proliferation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial function.
