SW480 is a human cancer cell line derived from Colon and associated with Colon adenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SW480 is used as an in vitro model of Colon adenocarcinoma to investigate apoptosis, cell proliferation, cell-cycle control, receptor signaling and trafficking, cellular uptake, and host-pathogen interactions.
