C18-PEG2000-NHS
C18-PEG2000-NHS is a conjugate composed of octadecyl (C18 aliphatic chain), PEG chains, and an active ester (NHS). C18-PEG2000-NHS combines the membrane compatibility of lipids with glucose as an active site for sugar recognition or subsequent coupling reactions, making it suitable for research in biomaterial construction and drug delivery.

Biological Activity
The structure of C18-PEG-NHS comprises three key parts that work synergistically:
C18: The long-chain alkyl group imparts significant hydrophobicity to the molecule, enabling it to self-assemble and form micelles, vesicles, or embeddings in lipid bilayers in aqueous environments.
PEG chain: Serving as a hydrophilic spacer, it forms a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
NHS: Serving as a reaction interface, it can react efficiently with molecules containing primary amino groups (such as antibodies and peptides) under mild conditions, forming stable covalent bonds.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
