Biological Activity
C5-O-Demethyl K41-A (compound 3) (50 μg/disc) inhibits the growth of Bacillus subtilis with an MIC of 8 μg/mL; it also inhibits the growth of MRSA with an MIC of 64 μg/mL, exhibiting moderate antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus[1].
